The holiday season officially begins as The Avenue Shines Bright! Step back in time as our vintage holiday lights, lovingly hung and cared for by the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department, illuminate Broad Avenue for another magical season.
Stroll the street and take in the twinkling glow of decades-old decorations, the beautifully dressed shop windows, and the warm sense of community that makes our town shine brightest this time of year.

Celebrate the season and shop local this holiday during Christmas on the Avenue! Stroll Broad Avenue to explore our local businesses, discover unique gifts, and enjoy the festive window displays that bring holiday cheer to our hometown.
Bring your furry friends (and the whole family!) to visit Santa Claus at the North Belle Vernon Borough Building from 10 a.m. to noon. The Friends of the Belle Vernon Public Library will be hosting Photos with Santa for pets and families as a special fundraiser to support our local library.
Shop small, spread holiday spirit, and make a day of it on the Avenue!
Light Up the Night
Sunday, November 23, 2025, 6 p.m.
Wrap up the Holiday Kickoff weekend with a night full of sparkle and community spirit! Join us at North Belle Vernon Community Bank Park as we Light Up the Night with the glow of holiday lights and of shining luminaries.
Children can meet Santa Claus, share their Christmas wishes, and enjoy the warm glow of the park as it transforms into a winter wonderland. It’s a beautiful evening to celebrate the season with family, friends, and neighbors.
