An exciting milestone for North Belle Vernon Community Bank Park. The park has been awarded a $400,000 grant through Pennsylvania’s Local Share Account (LSA) program, funding that will directly support meaningful improvements to one of the community’s most beloved public spaces.
These funds will be used to restore and enhance the park’s soccer field, improve spectator seating and add new ADA-compliant amenities, including accessible seating and a water fountain. Additional upgrades include new trash and recycling receptacles, helping keep the park clean and welcoming for everyone who uses it.
Together, these improvements will ensure the park remains a welcoming space for the entire region, serving families, athletes, and visitors of all ages and abilities.

A Park with a Proud History — and a Bright Future
North Belle Vernon Community Bank Park has long been a centerpiece of recreation and community life. In 2026, the park will mark 10 years since its last major revitalization, a transformation that reshaped the park into the vibrant, multi-use destination it is today.
This new investment builds on that legacy, allowing the borough to restore, repair, and reimagine key areas of the park while maintaining its role as a fully ADA-compliant recreational space. From youth sports and community events to everyday gatherings, the park remains a place where the community comes together — and this funding helps ensure it stays that way for years to come.
Gratitude for State Support
The grant was awarded through the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71) and supported through the offices of State Senator Kim Ward and State Representative Eric Davanzo. Their continued support of local projects plays a vital role in strengthening community infrastructure and public spaces across the region.
Looking Ahead
With this funding, North Belle Vernon Community Bank Park will continue to grow as a capstone recreational attraction for the borough — one that reflects community pride, accessibility, and long-term investment in quality of life.
More updates will be shared as plans move forward and improvements begin.
